Open Enrollment
Criteria
A.R.S. § 15-816.01 requires public school governing boards to adopt a model format that their district may use for parents to understand: 1) their enrollment options as described in A.R.S. § 15-816.01; 2) Enrollment capacity at each school; and 3) The ability to choose any school within the school district of residence or any other school district in the state.
Each school district develops its own open enrollment criteria that comply with state and federal law. That includes criteria to evaluate open enrollment eligibility and priority.
