AM/PM Schedule

Coolidge Alternative Program (CAP) provides a flexible, supportive environment for grades 9-12, offering half-fay sessions and an online curriculum, Connexus, where students work independently with guidance from certified instructors. Designed primarily for credit recovery, the program supports students who have lost credits due to attendance issues or failed courses. Small-group instruction is available for English, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, and Chemistry, while Social Studies, Health, CTE, and Electives are completed via Connexus on iPads. 9th-11th graders take core subjects in 40-minute classes, and seniors continue online coursework across two sessions. A math and reading interventionist provides targeted support based on becnhmark performance. Students follow a four-period schedule, with three small-group classes and one period for intervention or additional Connexus time. Our goal is to offer a structured yet adaptable learning experience, helping students stay on track toward graduation in an alternative setting tailored to their needs.

CVA

Students will participate in high-level learning they are used to in-person, but in a structured online environment using Connexus (6-12) courseware. This online self-guided format provides students instruction through embedded videos in the courseware. Teachers employed by CUSD are available to assist students in successfully completing their courses. Both online platforms have a curriculum that is grounded in research and are aligned to Arizona State Standards.

The goal of CUSD is for all students to be successful. Part of that success will depend on the model of learning your family chooses each year. Please consider the characteristics of a successful online learner before selecting the online model of learning.
